Be Content

I know both how to be abased, and I know how to abound: every where and in all things I am instructed both to be full and to be hungry, both to abound and to suffer need. I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me. Philippians 4:12‭-‬13 KJV

I know what it means to lack, and I know what it means to experience overwhelming abundance. For I’m trained in the secret of overcoming all things, whether in fullness or in hunger. And I find that the strength of Christ’s explosive power infuses me to conquer every difficulty. -Philippians 4:12‭-‬13 TPT

Life can be unpredictable. But because of what  Jesus Christ did on the cross, we are all given the opportunity to conquer each day and every situation. We can be content in anything.Even some of the toughest situations in life. God teaches us to be content. but how can we learn to be content in everything if we don’t experience it all?

Do not take the seasons of your life lightly. It’s all great when you have in abundance, but how can you be content in the seasons you experience great lost?

Just like in the book of job,  one day he had it all and a time came where he lost everything. We must always remember that God the creator of all things is in control and he uses our own situations to reveal his marvelous self to us. We must also remember that troubles don’t always last.

In exodus 14, God hardened pharaoh’s heart that he may pursue the Israelites after setting them free. Wait What?!  Yes! When the egyptians drew near and the Israelites saw that they were caught between the red sea and the Egyptians they were confused and afraid. But little did they know, God was about to reveal more of himself them. Just like the Egyptians we can sometimes find ourselves caught between a rock and a hard place. Troubles on the left, troubles on the right.

In verse 13 Moses said unto the people, Fear ye not, stand still, and see the salvation of the LORD, which he will shew to you to day: for the Egyptians whom ye have seen to day, ye shall see them again no more for ever.

The Egyptians can represent the troubles you face today. The things of the past, that God freed you from, that wants to pursue you or just The issues of your life that wants to overthrow you. But God says if you keep your faith in him, the troubles you face today you shall see them no more again. God can get you through any situation. And with that promise you can be content in even in your toughest seasons of life. Remember God is faithful and his word is settled in heaven.

For ever, O LORD, Thy word Is settled in heaven. Thy faithfulness is unto all generations: Thou hast established the earth, and it abideth. Psalm 119:89‭-‬90 KJV

Whatever you are facing today, may the spirit of God  dwell in you and cause you to seek God daily, discern your times and seasons and teach you how to be content.
